Mitsubishi Repair: No Power, o2 sensor, simple tune

Question
I have a 1995 3000GT SL 3.0 manual, the car runs but doesn't seem to have the power it should taking off, a friend told me it may be the o2 senor going bad. any ideas?

Answer
Marshall,
This can be caused by a number of things.  Usually a bad O2 sensor won't cause this particular problem; and you would most likely see your check engine light come on.  This problem is typically caused by a clogged air intake, clogged fuel supply, or improperly set ignition timing.  All your engine may need is a simple tune-up.  Have your mechanic check your intake and fuel systems, along with the ignition timing.
Good luck!
