Mitsubishi Repair: fuel pump relay keeps shortning out on 98 Eclipse, coolant temperature sensor, mass air sensor

Question
My 98 eclipse stalled out while being operated. Then after you let it sit for awhile it would start back up.  I have changed the coil, ecu, fuel pump, fuel pump relays, cam / crankshaft sensor plugs, wires.  What I notice was something is causing the fuel pump relays to short out.  When the car cut off now, I unplug the ecu and swap out the fuel pump relays and the car will start and run fine for a few days, then shut of again.  Please help w

Answer
Kyle,
Typical causes of this problem are a faulty coolant temperature sensor, bad mass air sensor (clogged filter can cause this), or a bad crank sensor.  There's even a chance that a clogged catalytic converter could cause this problem.  Since you mentioned you replaced the crank sensor, we'll rule that out.  Have the other items tested.  If the check engine light is coming on, be sure to have the codes read.
Good luck!
