Mitsubishi Repair: 92 dodge stealth es tranny, mitsubishi 3000gts, dodge stealth

i have a 92 dodge stealth es it has a 3.0 dohc the tranny is a/t i just got it and it was just rebuilt 5000 miles ago and it will not go in any foward gears reverse is fine no slip , the fluid is not burnt but the car has been sitting for awhile.when i put it into d i hear a clicking noise like its trying to go into gear ,the clicking is comeing from the tranny i figure its the( pcsv pressure controled silonoid valve)do you think that could be the problem?if so how hard are they to change? i more question will a 92 3000gt tranny fit into my stealth es ? thank you very much for your time. david

It's hard to say what the problem could be without actually inspecting it.  There's a few things that can cause the problem you described, and yes, a bad PCSV can cause this problem.  The Dodge Stealths and the Mitsubishi 3000GTs are mechanically the  same vehicle. The only real differences are certain interior and exterior trims.  The part number for your transmission would be the same for that of the same year of the 3000gt tranny.  So just double check the numbers if you are planning a swap.
