Mitsubishi Repair: Electrical, windshield wipers, newer cars

Question
My Dash Lights And my windshield wipers wont come on and i already changed my fuses and checked to see if everything was plugged in.What do you think is wrong?

Answer
Josh: You need to check the relays or larger fuses in those boxes in the engine department. You did not put down the year or model of this car, so I shall write this with an idea on things. As some the older cars have three of those boxes and some newer cars have but one such black box. But then you open the hood of the car, standing looking at the engine there would be one black box over on the driver's side of the car and could be two others on the other side of the car, by the battery or not. On the top of that box or boxes should explain what relays or larger fuses are in them. I would check to see if there is a relay or larger fuse for the wipers and dash lights, if you find a bad relay or larger fuse, remember to remove the neg cable off the battery, take out the old relay or fuse and put in the new part and then put the cable back on the battery. Other wise you will blow the new part and have to start all over again. If you don't find anything wrong with any of the relays or those larger fuses then you have a short someplace and will have to let a shop find the problem for you. As sometimes those can be hard to find but the shop would have the right tools to do this job for you. God bless: Linda
