Mitsubishi Repair: code problem, code scanner, trouble code

have 95 mitsu eclipse .Check engine light came on cleared all comp codes,started up car the engine light did not come back on yet the code scanner now says code 1400 manufacturers specific powertrain trouble code. What do i now do ? will the check engine light eventually come back on? HELP!!!

Randi: You said the check engine light came on, did you code the car to see what that meant? Or did you try to just clear the code as to reset the computer with out fixing the sensor? Sometimes it take more than one coding to get to the bottom of the problem. How does the car run? How does it shift? I would check the car again with another coding? If this code shows up again, you will have to get this code checked out. I am sorry but I have not seen that code before, got an AutoZone close by? They could code your car for free for you and would know this code. Again I wish I could be more help but I have not seen or heard of this code.
