Mitsubishi Repair: cant hold an idle, blown head gasket, happy new year

Question
I recently had a blown head gasket. The car sat for about 3-4 months until i got around to have it fixed. Now the head gasket was fixed but it won't hold an idle. When i give it gas it will miss fire pretty bad and when i let off it just bogs down and shuts off. I took off the intake sensor just behind the filter. and the miss fireing stopped but it still wont hold an idle. any idea what this could be?

Answer
Bryan: Try having the car's computer coded it should explain whatever the problem might be. But being the car sat for a while before you got it fixed, it might have things cleaned up some. How about the air filter? Still try that computer and see where that might lead you. Hope this helps, Happy New Year too. God bless: Linda
