Mitsubishi Repair: 1996 eclipse rs bad shifting on auto transmission, speedometer needle, speedometer cable

I have 96 eclipse RS auto transmission the car shift fine on dry and high temperatures but on rainy days or cold temperatures the car goes into first or second gear and also the speedometer goes crazy then I turn the motor off and start it again some times that help
please help thank you

You may need to have your transmission flushed and filled with clean fluid and have your transmission filter replaced.  An erratic speedometer needle may be an indication of a bad speedometer unit.  The gears may have worn down; causing it to bounce around.  When you get your fluid and filter replaced, have your mechanic inspect and replace the speedometer cable if necessary.
