Mitsubishi Repair: 1992 eclipse not run for 2yrs, proper fuel, fuel pressure

A friend of mine asked if i could get her old eclipse running. It's been setting in
her yard for 2 years and not run. Battery is shot. I tried to Jump it with fresh fuel
but no joy. It ran when she parked it. Where should I start? It turns over well and
all accessories function. I checked the air filter, it's clean. I still haven't tried the
carb cleaner starting fluid method which has worked so well before.

You may want to replace the fuel filter.  If gas had been sitting in the system for 2 years, if can get gummed up and not allow proper fuel pressure.  It's also worth checking the fuel pump as well.  Check the spark plugs and the distributor (if it's a 1.8L engine).  If the plugs do not look clean or are not firing, they should be replaced as well.
