Mitsubishi Repair: Oil leaks after running., oil pressure sending unit, oil leaks

Question
I have an 95 Eclipse GS and I got an odd one... I only get oil that leaks down after the car has been running... The pervious owner had mentioned that he had changed the oil sending switch cause it was spraying oil at one point and I haven't had a chance to take a look and see if It was a related issue. other Than that the car doesn't leak any oil when sitting there only after it runs and the oil seems clean. Its coming from what seems to be the back of the engine and sounds similar to what the previous owner explained his experience to be any suggestions?

Answer
Joe: Could be your need to replace the crankshaft front oil seal, oil pressure sending unit is leaking, cylinder heat(valve) covers leaking. It could be one of those things. All would cause the car to leak once the engine warmed out and so got the oil moving. I have a Dodge min-van that has leaking valve covers. It does not use much in the way of oil, but still it starts to leak once the engine warms up. You can get some oil treatment at any of the parts stores, read on the bottle and get one that will help stop small leaks. Try that sometimes it will stop the leaks. I know I use it on my van, but then with time I need to get those covers replaced. I do hope this helps and good luck! Linda :o)
