Mitsubishi Repair: Tail Lights/ Dashlights, dash lights, multiswitch

Question
I have a 97 Eclipse, 2.0, RS, Manual. I'm having trouble getting the tail/dash lights to come on. the blinkers and brakes light up but the driving lights wont come on. I have aftermarket gauges and the don't illuminate so i cant see anything in the dark. I've tried replacing all bulbs but nothing seems to work. my reverse lights and license plate light don't work either.
Thanks, Steven

Answer
Steven,
Sounds like there is a problem with the multiswitch or the wiring that controls the tail/dash lights.  Those are all on the same circuit.  You can try checking the fuses.  Your aftermarket gauges are also tapped into the same circuit that controls your tail/dash lights.  You may want to inspect those to be sure you do not have a short or improper ground connection.
Good luck!
