Mitsubishi Repair: wish to ask about Air Flow problem, flow problem, junk car

Question
my mirage (year 1994) suspected to be air flow problem (the thing that after air filter)
as when i start my engine, i press FULL PEDAL but my engine accelerate very slowly, like BackFire Sound (burp burp burp sound), but after that it become better.

if its really air flow problem, could you tell me how to check it and how to repair it ?

Szeeo: Sounds like a sensor it out to me, get the computer on your car coded to make sure. The you will have to buy a sensor, sometimes they are pretty costly new. But you might be able to buy one off a junk car at a junk yard. But first get the car coded to see the computer says the problem really is. Only way I know how to check that is through the coding of the computer. You go to a shop, they hook their inshop computer up to your car's computer; then you get a print out as to what is coding. Such as a bad sensor someplace, you fix that and your car should run better. God bless: Linda
