My daughter left lights on for 5 hours. Wouldn't start. Tried to jump start. fan comes on in front, turn key & windshield wipers come on (even though turned off) headlights come on but won't start

The battery may be so run down that it does not have enough power to turn the starter motor.  If the battery is more than 6-7 years old, it probably needs to be replaced.  You can take the battery to most major auto parts stores (e.g. AutoZone) and they can load the test the battery to see if it holds a charge.  Once you can get the car started and running, have a mechanic inspect the rest of the charging system.  It's possible the alternator is also on it way out.  If it's the original alternator for the car, it may be time to replace it.
