Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Magna 1993 -No spark, mitsubishi magna, crank sensor

Question
Hi There, my car died today. The car is Mitsubishi Magna 1993 2.6. I've called mechanic to then he found that the ignition coil burnt, all ignition cable and the coil replaced, but there is no spark at the coil when I pull the start key to the START level.

Answer
John: Sounds like a bad sensor someplace, you need to have the car coded and see what the computer would kick out to you as this problem.Could be you still have some problems in the wiring too. Have you checked the distributor cap and rotor. You might try to take the distributor cap loose, turn it either to the left or to the right, then try to start the car. Sometimes that will work, still the distribtor must be good, there is in that distributor cap a crank sensor. So it that is bad there would be no stark. Still the computer might be the problem too, your car is the right year for the bad computers, so best have the computer coded and then that will check all the sensors too. God bless: Linda
