Mitsubishi Repair: Transmision oil, mitsubishi 3000gt, one god

Question
Hello, I was wondering how many quarts will my Mitsubishi 3000gt 1996 non turbo automatic take?
I wanted to change it, and was wondering if you recommend the amsoil ?

Answer
Hoss: If you are going to change the fluid then why not put in a new filter too. As you will have to take the bottom off the transmission to get most of the fluid out anyway. So change the fluid, filter and add some transmission conditioner too; helps clean things up condition moving parts, you can get the fluid, filter and that transmission conditioner at any parts store. Maybe you should also buy yourself a repair manual for your car too, those cost around $20.00 and well worth the money for someone that wants to work on their own car. I would say 3.2 qts for the fluid, but still buy another one just to have it on hand. And buy the top of the line in fluid too, Amsoil is a good one, yes I would go with that one. God bless: Linda
