Mitsubishi Repair: Intermittent starting problems, e mail address, plymouth colt

Question
I drive a Plymouth Colt with a Mitsubishi engine.  I have taken detailed notes on my car’s recent problems.  From March 21 through March 23, the car would not turn over when I tried to start it although everything else in the car worked – lights, AC, radio, etc.  On March 24 and 25, everything was dead.
On March 28, my car was jumped with cables attached to another car and it started immediately.  From March 28 through April 8, the car started immediately on about 30 occasions and worked perfectly.
On April 10, the car behaved as it did from March 21 through 23 with the car not turning over and the lights, AC, and radio working.  I heard a click coming from the right of the driver’s seat and under the hood. It was also pouring rain.  It has rained on previous days, but April 10 was the first time that I tried to start the car while it was raining.
I had a complete maintenance check of my car in late February and drove very few miles from then until March 21.  In late February, the battery was deemed marginal.  There was no diagnosis of any problems with my starter, spark plugs, fuel pump, alternator, etc.  If the problem is the battery, why did the car work so well from March 28 through April 8?
Will a long jump-start solve the problem?  Should I keep the jumper cables attached to another working car for more than a couple of minutes so there is enough juice to have the car work for more than two weeks?
I’m not sure how I retrieve your answer since I’ve never used this service before.  My e-mail address is zwrite2@juno.com.

  Thank you very much,

Answer
Martin Z: Have the car coded, sounds like a computer problem to me. Those sounds you are hearing is from the computer. I don't know the year of the car, but your car could have one of those bad computer in it. With time a piece in the computer will start to leak into the computer, it will kill off the computer. As the computer dies, things get crazy with the car, it shows up in many ways. You will have to find a shop to hook your car's computer up to their computer. That might show your problems. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
