Mitsubishi Repair: Strange Idle on a 95 eclipse non-turbo, camshaft position sensor, crank sensor

Question
Hello, I have a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.0l DOHC non-turbo
the car runs great no problems on it. The only thing is that it has a strange idle when I start the car. It'll idle fine for a while then all of a sudden the car sounds like it's losing power. I've been told everything from the camshaft position sensor to the crank sensor idle air valve. Wonder if you could help know what it is? It does come out with a code P1390 (timing belt skipped a tooth- camshaft or crank sensor connector loose or disconnected) It did just have a new timing belt put on, could that be it?

Answer
Yerat: Could be and you could replace the distributor cap and rotor as the sensor is in that cap, the crank and camshift sensor are both in there. See if that helps, but sounds like to me you have fixed your problem. Oh hey when is the last time you did a good tune up on this car? That would help it too. God bless: Linda
