Nissan Repair: 95 Maxima starting, good luck with everything, change oil

Question
My 95 Maxima hard starts. I live in south Fl. Once it starts it runs like a champ! But get it to sit for a couple hours or until the next day and it takes 3-4 starting cycles to get it to run. Have had it tuned up, one coil replaced, fuel filter replaced...any idea???

Answer
well to be positive that everything is in proper working order, your tune up should consist of new plugs, new wires, distributor cap, rotor button, air filter, fuel filter, oil change, oil filter.  its a good idea to have your intake cleaned as well at every oil change.  this is done by taking off your air intake that connects to your throttle body, and while running open the throttle manually and spray intake cleaner until it shines like new.  if you havent changed all these parts on your tune up, i would next suggest testing your fuel pump.  turn on your key and wait about 5 seconds before you start it.  just turn it to acc.  this gives the pump time to give gas to the injectors.  try starting the car.  if it starts faster, than theres probably nothing really wrong with your car but it can be an early warning of your pump going bad.  good luck with everything!
