Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Montero Sport Windshield Motor 98, mitsubishi montero sport, mitsubishi montero

Question
QUESTION: My front windshield motor blew, so I got a new one.  I removed the old,
installed the new one and no problems.  However, when the wipers start, they go
down too far, and then come back up mid-windshield to stop.  Is there an
adjustment that can be done?

ANSWER: Hi, Well you would have to take your whipper arms off to adjust them where you need them. There is a gear they go on just move the blade up more on the gear until it's where it should be. This is very easy it's only like a bolt holding it on. I hope this helps anything else please let me know thanks,Kevin

QUESTION: Kevin:
Thanks for your quick reply.  I did move the blade up more on the gear until
it's where it should be, but, its starting position, then, is in the middle of the
windshield.  In other words, when driving, I would have to look at a wiper
blade directly in front of my eyes.  I noticed a screw on the motor that looks
like you can change the length, does this change the rotation distance for the
wiper?  Totally confused! Thanks for any more help or advice you can
provide.  It is really peculiar!  Todd

Answer
Hi, Yes That screw should be a adjustment of rotation. Some models have it some don't.

The best thing to do as well is pick up a hynes book from you local parts store. This book will help you from brake down and repair of your whole vehicle. This will guide you it the right direction. Hope this helps you thanks again,Kevin
