Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsibishi TF sports magna, cv shaft, nth queensland

Question
Hi, I have a 97/98 TF magna sports model, V6 3.0 front wheel drive, I have a very strange clicking noise in my RHS front wheel and at a speed of 50klm shakes the hell out of the car, I am suspecting CV shaft. Can you tell me is this an easy fix at home if it is, is there a site on the net where I can get the info,
Thanks Mathew, Nth Queensland Australia

Answer
I would first assume CV Shaft myself. But I would not Leave out the rack in pinion & ball joints. If you was to purchase the whole rack and pinion assembly it should come with all of the parts needed.

It's easy enough for somebody knowing a good amount of knowledge on cars, with the right tools. I would go with buying the book for your car from a parts store that show complete breakdown of the car like the hynes book, If your planing on doing it yourself.
I personally would take it to a shop If i was not knowledge with cars. The reason for this is because where talking about the front end, this could be very dangerous for you.  Also a shop gives you a warranty. I hope this helps! Get back to me on a update thanks again,Kevin. If this don't work I'll help you further so we can get your car fixed.
