Mitsubishi Repair: help my 300gt year 1994, electronic fuel pump, fuel injection system

Question
Hello, please help if you can we are at a loss of what is wrong with my car. It started acting odd after it rains, by running rough and acting like it was going to stall. Then one day it would stall everytime it was put in gear. It would start and idle very low. My husband is very good with cars for the most part, so here's what he's done so far, cleaned throttle body( he said is was dirty), tune up, spark plugs (called mitsu dealer to get recommended plugs), wires, fuel filter, and just in case he replaced the idle control sensor, the car was scanned or coded and nothing showed up in the read out. It seems to have more power but same old threatening to stall thing, to me the idle seems very low, sometimes when starting it too, not now just when i put in in reverse or drive. ? Do you have any ideas , i know it took a dislike to moist days, but it is running more inconsistant now than before. Any other aspects of fuel we overlooked or maybe another thing to check any ideas are appreciated.

Answer
Hi, I would start with the fuel pump test and this is the best way to check.

Locate the fuel pump (Refer to the cars manual if you need assistance)Now, turn the ignition key to the point just before the engine starts to turn over and leave the key in that position if the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank, remove the gas cap and put you ear up to the gas tank opening and listen for a "whirring" sound.
If the fuel pump is located under the hood, listen for the same "Whirring" coming directly from the fuel pump. In either case this sound means the electronic fuel pump is working.

If this is working I would check the fuel injection system.

I would also check to make sure you have spark in all cylinders if not could be you coil pack or distributor. hope this helps if everything is good on that end let me know either way thanks. I will try everything to get you through this. Kevin
