Mitsubishi Repair: Blinkers, hazard flasher, fuse box

Question
I have a 97 mitsu mirage.  My blinkers don't turn on or off.  However my hazerds do.  Also my tail lights don't turn on but the do when I hit the breaks.  I checked all the fuses and it all looks good.  What could it be? Do I need a new switch?

Answer
Jorge: You need to replace the turn signal/hazard flasher in your car, it should be under the dash not to far from the fuse box. Also for the tail lights check the fuse that that sounds like it is burnt out. Are you sure the bulbs for the brake lights are the same for the tail lights? Sometimes there is two different bulbs for the tail lighs and the brake lights. So you should check to make sure the bulbs might need to be replaced. If the fuse is not the problem, then for the tail lights you might have a short someplace, that would take the car to a shop to find that. But to get the turn blinkers to work replace that turn signal/hazard flasher; be sure to take the old one into the parts store as to make sure they give you the right one for your car. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
