RV Repair: broken cable that raises pop up, friend of the family, coleman

I have recently been given a pop up by a friend of the family and she has broken the cable that raises the top up Its a Coleman Plantation not sure of yr. early to mid 90's  can this be fixed or is it to costly or is it something that my boyfriend and I can fix. your in put would be greatly appreciated  Thanks You Sondra East Tn.

Parts  cost are fairly in-expensive, however, labor is usually very intensive.  you will need some way to lift the roof and support it while you work on the lift system.  You will have to locate the broken cables etc. and remove them so you know what to replace.

If you are not sure about your ability to properly repair it, have a qualified repair facility give you an estimate.
