Mitsubishi Repair: Annoyin rattling noise, help, eclipse gt, christy

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read my issue :)
I have a 2000 Eclipse GT. Theres a weird rattling noise coming from the driver side of the car. I'm not that good in describing things but the noise sounds like some plastic piece thats loose and its rotating against something else, it is a steady noise, it does not increase with the engine nor decrease. I popped the hood and listened to try to find out where exactly it was coming from..It appears that the noise is coming from somewhere under the battery but not at the very bottom of the vehicle either.It is heard right when I start it up, idling, stop and go driving, and on the expressway as well. Sometimes it stops, either when it wants to or when I brake, once I let go of the brake it continues. Any idea? Tanks!

Christy: Best get that checked out as the motor mount could be loose and that would not be good. So get the car into a shop and have them check to see if any of those are loose; then tell them what you are hearing and get them to check it out. Either something has come loose or has broken; never a good idea to let things like this go. Because if it breaks through, it might cause you as the driver some large problems or mess up how the car runs. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
