Mitsubishi Repair: P0300 random misfire, eclipse gt, head gaskets

Question
ok linda heres a good one for you.

i own a 2000 eclipse gt, with a nasty random misfire.  Heres some work i have done to the car.

FUEL PUMP, TIMING BELT, THERMOSTAT, PLUGS AND WIRES, HEAD GASKETS W/ MACHINING AND ALL NEW EXHAUST VALVES( TIMING BELT JUMPED), REFLASHED PCM FOR ROUGH IDLE AND P0300 CODE TSB, SWAPPED MAF SENSORS TO TEST EVEN AFTER BACK PROBING AND IT WAS OK JUST TO BE SURE, DIST. CAP AND ROTOR, FUEL PRESSURE TEST(GOOD), INJECTORS ARE GOOD, EGR VALVE IS GOOD, CAM SENSOR WIRING WAS RUBBED THROUGH BUT WAS REPAIRED, I THINK THATS IT.

Anyways, ive been trying to diagnose this issue for some time and i just cant seem to figure this one out.  my best guess so far is my weak spark, it runs good at high RPMs but will often die at idle. i have been looking at forums and cant seem to get anywhere. im thinking that it might be my distributor itself b/c of the weak spark, which isnt cheap.

Do you have any questions or any suggestions for me because im not really sure what else it could be.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Leigh

Answer
Leigh: Have the computer coded and see what it might kick out as to this problem. You could have a weak sensor someplace, so the computer is reading it wrong and so your problem. The computer and all those sensors control a lot of things in your car. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
