Mitsubishi Repair: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS Clutch Problems, clutch fluid, clutch problems

Question
Awhile back ago my car started having minor clutch problems, that eventually moved into major problems. At that time, I checked the fluid levels and found that the clutch fluid was extremly low, so I filled it and over time, the clutch returned to normal. Now the clutch has quickly declined again, but seems to be a different problem now. The clutch seems to loose pressure very fast unless the engine is at a high RPM. Any Suggestions as to what I am looking at? The mileage on the vehicle is 92000+, this is the first major problem I have had with it, should I fix the car or will I see more and more repairs needed in the future, and it would just be better to trade-in the car?

Answer
Chad: Your car is pretty new, I would get into a shop and have them check these problems. Sounds like to me, you have a small leak someplace and that it letting the oil leak out, the clutch is run with oil pressure, so without that your clutch is not going to work right. I don't think this is bad, if you have not had any problems before with this car and this is the first one. So get the car into a shop and let them fix this for you. As the car still has a lot of life left in it. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
