Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubish Eclipse wont idle, mitsubish eclipse, transmision radio

Question
I recently installed an aftermarket radio in my 1994 Eclipse manual transmision ... radio works fine.  After disconnecting the battery cable, the car now kills at stop lights.

Someone mentioned "computer needs to relearn settings"?  What should I be doing?
Thanks
Tim

Answer
Tim: Are you sure you got the cable tight when you hooked it up. These little cars are very touchy about that. Not sure about the computer relearning things, you maybe should have the car coded to see what the computer might be picking up in the system. But then you unhooked the neg cable when putting in the radio, though you might have hooked that radio into something that it shouldn't be hooked to. You are right the computer does control everything through the engine. But what about this, how long has been for a tune up on your car. That might be your problem too. But look if the cable is very tight, in that moving it you move the battery, then most likely not that. Then you should have the car's computer coded to see what that might explain is going on with the car. So try that. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
