Mitsubishi Repair: 2000 mitts galant, resistance drop, galant


Question
My car at 65 mph when i let off the gas it starts bucking, and if i acc'l some what hard.i replaced plugs & wires no change.I replaced coils got 99% better but after time gets bad again.It's #2 cylinder what is eating up my coils I'm on my 3rd coil in 2 months.

I would guess there is some short or improper ground that is causing the coil to fail.  If you have a service manual for your car, it should tell how to test the coil (usually testing the resistance).  If there is a significant resistance drop, then that means there's a short somewhere and it's burning out your coil.  This may not happen unless the car is running, which makes very difficult to test.  You may want to have a mechanic (possibly even the dealership) inspect the circuit and harness the coil uses.
