Mitsubishi Repair: oxygen sensors, mitsubishi diamante, 2001 mitsubishi diamante

Have a 2001 mitsubishi diamante, want to change the oxygen sensors but having a hard time figuring out what front left, front right,rear left and rear right mean.I understand down stream and upstream but not the different banks.

Peter: When you open the hood of your car, standing there. Look to your left and that would be left front, look to your right, that would right front. Rear left is the rear of the engine, left front would be the front of the engine. Or you could put your car in a stream someplace not to deep mind you and then you would see what I mean. Oh just kidding here. lol. I mean people always have to make it hard for those of us trying to work on our cars. Because they want you to bring that car into a dealership or shop; not work on it yourself. I do hope this helps you and God bless: Linda
