Mitsubishi Repair: 2003 eclipse power window, newer cars, safe side

Question
The driver side power window on my 2003 Eclipse stopped working. I took the door panel down to try to find the problem, and hopefully fix it. My question is: the wire that goes through the power window motor has to be attached to something on both ends? Researching the net, I've noticed that are two types of power window kits: one where the cable makes like a loop, and it's attached at both end, and one type that the cable is attached only at one end. I just want to find out if my cable is broken (in which case I'll go to a shop), or not (in which case I'll try fix it myself)
Any input is appreciated
Thank you

Answer
Apasul: I would take the car to a shop, as it sounds like one the wires might have broken. But without seeing it, well it is hard to tell. But a shop would know and they could fix it for you too. Got to have those windows working. Besides with these newer cars, you need to be really careful working on things or else you can mess up other things. So go to a shop, just to be on the safe side of things. Hope this helps and God bless: Linda
