Answer
Timothy: Does the belts turn when you are trying to start it? If not I would check the timing belt, if they do than I would have the car coded. To rule out any problem with the computer or sensors. As the computer controls everything in that car. If those are all ok, then I would do a good tune up. If the belts are turning when you turn the engine over and so you know the timing belt has not broken. You might try taking the distributor cap loose, turn it either left or right; then try to start the car. As there is a crank sensor in that distributor cap. Still I would be wondering about the timing belt, and your car is the right year for the bad computers. As computers put into those older cars were built by a company that did not build very good ones, a piece will start to leaking into the computer and with time it kills off the computer, which would show up with the car not having any stark. But still it could be one of many things here, a broken timing belt, needs a tune up badly, computer messed up, coil bad... what you need to do is go to a parts store and buy yourself a repair manual for your car. They cost around $20.00 and are well worth that money. You could read up on the car and that manual would work you through things to check. I hope this helps and God bless: Linda
