Mitsubishi Repair: Added a rear wiper set up., rear defroster, sun angles

Question
QUESTION:  Hello I recently bought a 92' Mitsubishi Eclipse and soon discovered the difficulty in seeing out the rear window after using the rear defroster with low sun angles and lack of a rear wiper. The car was not equipped with a rear wiper from the factory.
After noticing the rear wiper motor area was wired with a plug, I went out to my local salvage yard and purchased a rear wiper motor, wiper arm, switch and washer bottle with pump. After installing the switch and motor to the wire harness plugs it did not work. The washer pump was not pre-wired so it is not hooked up. I even went back to the salvage yard to look for any relays or differences between the parts car and mine. I found one relay under the hood and suspected it be the culprit. It was labeled WDO and there is two of these plugged in and my car has just the one plugged in. Well I plugged it in and still had no luck.
After finding only a dead end in the repair manual  and checking all fuses I am at a loss. Can you help with this unique problem
 THANK YOU, Darren

ANSWER: Darren,

There is an intermittent rear wiper relay that is mounted near the driver's side seatbelt retractor motor. Have you looked behind the cover that sits between the front and rear seat (towards the outside of the car)? It should be there. Should be a 6 terminal relay with 4 wires: Blue/White, Brown, Black/Yellow and Blue.  If you are missing it, you'll have to procure it as it provides the power to the rear motor.

QUESTION:  Hello, again.
Thank you for the solid info. it seems to have me on the right track. Although when I removed the panel I could see a plug with the wires running up to the hatch, only with a green and black male 2 wire plug feeding the female end with I belive 5 wires and not exactly the colors you specified, but close.
As far as a relay, I only have the male and female plug connected. Am I missing something else?
THANKS AGAIN, you are providing a great service, Darren

Answer
Darren, Looking at a wiring diagram, it looks like there is a 6 terminal plug that that should have 4 wires going into it (maybe 5 if one has two wires coming out of the same pin). That connects to a relay that is mounted there next to the seat belt control unit.

Your response leaves me guessing. Is the relay there? The male and female plug you described are they both 2 terminal plugs?  Is there a 6pin harness there?
