Mitsubishi Repair: dashboard lights wont turn on, fuse boxes, dashboard lights

hi plz need help im rekin out. ok i have a mitsubishi 3000 gt 1996. all was working good. until i replaced changed my battry on the car. only my dashboard lights wont turn on and tail lights. i beilive they are connected together somehow. but i checked all the fuses. the fuse box inside car and the two fuse boxes under hood. all relay seem to work. like when i turn on the light the first notch which is the dashboard wont work but then the next one notch is the head light they work. but i wont have anylight inside car. so cant drive at night. :(
ummm i tried takig out the tail relay and switching it with the horn relay to see if it was from it i got same resut nothing worked. did that so i wont have to buy a new relay. so what should i do? plz help i love my car haha

Hoss: I would say you will have to replace that dashboard light fuse or relay with new ones to get those to work again. It sounds like a relay problem to me. The relay for your horn will not work for the dash lights. Did you when you changed those relays, remove the neg cable off the battery and then changed them. Chances are that your horn no longer works either. To change a relay, you take the neg cable off the battery, remove the old relay and put in the new relay and then put the neg cable back on the battery. Other wise you will blow out the new relay. I think I would be trying to replace the relay. Other wise maybe you messed up all the light bulbs in the dash lights. You could also check for a loose wire someplace too.
