Mitsubishi Repair: lights stuck on full beam, mitsubishi gallant, beam lights

We have a 1990 Mitsubishi Gallant.  Every time we turn on the lights now they go direct to full beam and its impossible to switch it off.  It used to be that the full beam lights would come on occassionally after we'd indicated but now they're just on all the time.  Any suggestions?

The switch in the steering column is most likely worn and needs to be replaced.  It's also possible the relay that controls the full beams is stuck and needs to be replaced.  For either item, you should have a mechanic inspect both components and replace as necessary.
