Mitsubishi Repair: auto transmssion, auto parts store, transmission shop

I have a 1995 3000gt 5speed v6 12000miles that i bought from a friend. this is the actual milage. The problem is it does not engage reverse and sometimes slips out of gear when in motion. Could you tell me what might be the problem and if ineed new gear where is the best source

Lekan: Try changing the fluid and filter on the transmission. This might help the problem. But anything else you will need to have the car checked over by a transmission shop. But first before you go down that road, get that fluid and filter changed in the transmission and oh hey buy a conditioner at a auto parts store. Something that will work in a transmission. They along with the new fluid and filter will often fix such a problem as your's. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
