Mitsubishi Repair: EGR Valve, mitsubishi 3000 gt, haynes repair manual

Hello,

I definately need my EGR and who knows whatelse replaced, but I have 2 problems.  First, I cannot find anywhere that sells replacement EGR vales, not the gasket, the actual valve.  Second, I cannot locate it.  I have the Chilton book, and I've checked several websites.  I do some mechanic work, and I know the part itself is identified as a spaceship looking device, but I still cannot locate it.  I have a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT SL.  Thank you in advance!

Reilly: Ok, my repair manual is a Haynes.. it tells where that EGR is located, behind and almost underneath the intake plenum. There are two sensors in this loaction - the EGR gas temperature sensor is the one on the right(passenger's) side. Should buy a Haynes repair manual. I know, I know most people go with the Chilton manual. But I think they put to many engines in those manual. The Haynes has less engines, more pictures and walk you through things better. Well just an idea on my part. But I like pictures... :~). Hope this helps and good luck. Linda
