Mitsubishi Repair: 92 Mitsubishi Expo will not start, crank sensor, fuel injection system

Question
My manual 1992 Mitsibushi Expo has had this annoying problem for many years. The car will not start in hot weather or re-start after driving for awhile.  I have heard that Hondas have a similar problem and it is the Main Relay.  Does my car have a Main Relay?  Maybe the computer- which has been repalced. Please let me know what's the problem? And how can I fix it? Thanks.

Answer
Zoe: Sorry to say but I answer all my questions from things I have worked on before or right out of my repair manual. My repair manual says this about your problem... air filter clogged, fuel not reaching the fuel injection system and corroded battery connections, especially ground. Now if you want to check the relays in your Expo, there are small black boxes in with the engine. One over by the driver's side of the car, up around the area of the firewall should be one and one or two over by the battery area. In those black boxes are relays and larger fuses. You could check them. You know that in the distributor is a crank sensor and maybe your distributor needs to be changed. Have you ever had the car coded to see if there might be a sensor out or a weak one someplace. The computer is only as good as all the sensors that are all around the engine. Would check for a vacuum leak too, they cause all kinds of problems in engines. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda PS. I did look up a main relay in my repair manual. It talks about there are many key relays but they are in those black boxes. So I guess you will have to check them.
