Mitsubishi Repair: Magna 97 Clunking in rear end, rear brakes, accelaration

Question
I have a 1997 Magna Auto V6 Sedan, I have noticed lately it is beginning to make a very faint clunking noise somewhere in what appears to be the rear end after hardish accelaration. I have had my father check it out and he doesnt think its anything to worry about....this isnt always happening. We lubed the suspension rubbers and it seemed to go away...any ideas?

Answer
Nathan: Sure it could be nothing but still I would get it into a shop and have it checked. It would be your rear brakes or even a clip on your exhaust has broke. You would hate that clip to let go on the freeway and your exhaust falls off. Or sometimes breaks on your brakes, right? I always say it is better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps and good luck! ~Linda~
