Answer
Richard: I am trying to understand this... you put the key in the ignition to start the car but have not run it yet. Still when you turned the key on to start the car, the oil light and engine light is on. When I start my car, all those lights on my car come on but then go off shortly after I start the car. So maybe once you run the car a bit they will go out. Sometimes when you first work on a car, the computer has to get reset. But if those lights are staying on after you start and run the car for a bit. Then I would shut the car off, remove the neg cable off the battery and wait 5 minutes; then put it back on. See if that will reset the computer. If those lights are still on, then the computer is picking up another problem in your car. So then you will have to find someone such as a shop to code your car. That is where they hook their computer up to your car's computer and find out what the problem is. Then the shop will give you a print out of whatever is found. You can either fix that yourself, as to replace a sensor or have the shop do it. I hope this helps and good luck! Linda
