Mitsubishi Repair: mitsubshi, vacuum leaks, catalyc converter

Question
i have a 1999 mitsubshi sport 3.0 v-6. it has no power. it has had the fuel pump and filter replaced. new timing belt and crank censor. compression is 175 -- 185. i removed the catalyc converter and it was no help. electronics check out at 2 diferent shops. i seems it isnt running on the right bank. cylinders 2-4-6

Answer
David: Sounds like either a bad distributor cap or a bad computer. Both of those things control the firing of the cylinders. The computer gets its input from all the sensors through out the engine and then sets things up in the matter for minutes. Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Sometimes that will cause such problems. Could be your timing is off. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
