Mitsubishi Repair: Rattle near drivers door/rear door, mitsubishi magna v6, bushings

Question
Hi, I have a 1992 Mitsubishi Magna V6 station wagon manual.  I recently had the back bushes replaced as I had a strange rattle/squeak sound coming from behind the driver's seat near the passenger door.  My mechanic (who has worked on thousands of Mitsubishis) checked the bushes and said they need to be replaced, so that's what we did.  It worked for about 2 weeks, now the sound has come back worse than ever!  It begins as soon as the car begins to idle and occasionally stops all together for a few minutes then starts again.  PLEASE help - its driving me nuts!  Thanks Janine

Answer
Janine: You need to take the car back to that mechanic and explain to him that the sound is worse than before. It could be a dozen different things. And he will need to check for that sound and get the car fixed to stop that sound. I wish I could help you more... it could be something like your passenger door is loose just a bit and it rubs up against something. It could be something has broke in the body, so that makes the sound. I can only guess here, could be the seat has broken just a bit and is rubbing on something. That is why your mechanic will have to check it out to find the problem. He fixed the bushings, and now the sound is worse you say. So I would start in that bushing area and check around. Hope this helps some and good luck! Linda
