Mitsubishi Repair: 1991 Mitsubishi Galant Power Windows, mitsubishi galant, haynes manual

Question
I have an old mitsubishi galant (DOHC GS turbo)with 200,000 miles on it. Couples months ago, both the power windows (p/w) and the power lock stopped working. All widows are not responding. Of course, this did not happen all the sudden.
I checked the master swicth control and other switches- they seem all fine. I also checked the p/w fuse under the hood- no problem. The haynes manual has a diagram of the p/w wiring circuit and it shows a p/w relay. Do you know where this relay is located?
I checked the labelled relay box under the hood but there is no p/w relay.  The p/w motor are also fine. Your help is very much appreciated.

Answer
Soul: Look the problem with those windows in your car is that it could be it just needs a good cleaning, take off the door panel and clean things. I mean your car is a 1991 model think off all the years those windows have gone up and down, as well as the door locks. There could be all kinds of dirt and what not in around both windows and locks. Did you check to see if the windows are still on their tracks? You should check the window reglator too, as you want to get the right angle on that window. I remember someone else having problems with this, but I can not remember how it all went now. But can you hear the motor trying to raise the window when you push that button? Are you sure that the button is touching the power as to make the windows go up and down? I know my son was having problems with his windows, so he bought the car up to me and I found out the motors worked, as did the windows but through time and miles on his car; the button was not doing anything when he pushed. So I just got a new well different button and now those windows work really well again. Are you sure you checked all the black boxes in with the engine? Did you read what is in each box? Some cars have two and others have three of those black boxes. I would say if there is a relay it would have to be in one of those boxes. Could be as I said something is catching that window and so it just does not or not able to go up as it should. Power locks are a bit harder to find out what is wrong with them. I have this Dodge mini van a 2001 model with low miles, all the locks work but on one door. I have tried time and again to get that door lock to work. But still have no idea what is wrong with it. So I will not be much help there. Hope this helps you some and good luck! Linda
