Mitsubishi Repair: 1996 mitsubishi eclipse, speedometer cable, mitsubishi eclipse

my speedometer just all of a sudden quit working but my mileage is still works and now the needle just goes from 0 to 100 back and forth as i am driving and it will not tel me how fast i am actually going

Jason: You need to get the speedometer cable replaced and that will fix your problem. Should take the car to a shop and get them to fix this for you. As it can be a hard job to do. Other wise get yourself a repair manual for your car, any parts store has them for around $20.00 and see if you want to try this yourself. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda
