Mitsubishi Repair: P1500 code on 96 eclipse gsx, eclipse gsx, mitsubishi dealer

Mechanic checked car got p1500 code for alternator fr circuit.Have replaced alternator with oem alternator. This is the 2nd alternator that has been put in car. Drove car for about 75 miles and check engine light has come back on.Have not brought car back to mechanic yet. Just want some ideas on what to expect. Could it be the ecm?

There is either an open circuit in the generator fr terminal circuit or your engine control module has failed. You may want to take it to a Mitsubishi dealer and let them look at it. Check the control module (ECM) and see if there is any damage. Older Mitsubishis (mostly 89-94) had under-rated capacitors in them that would overheat and cause damage to the board.
