Mitsubishi Repair: oil leak, mitsibushi, oil leak

Question
I have a Mitsibushi Pajero 1993 - V6 3500 and in the last week it has started leaking oil. When i start up the car it leaks out for a short while and then seems to stop - sometimes when I stop the car and then back inot a space - it leaves a small trail of oil but this is not all the time. Sometimes the oil leak is worse than at other times. Could this be a serious problem?

Answer
Ruth: This will only be a problem if you forget to keep checking the engine oil. How much oil is the car loosing? Could be when you had the oil changed whoever did the work did not get the oil pan nut back on tight and so you should get the car into a shop to get that checked. Or could be whoever changed the oil did not get the filter on tight so you are loosing oil there. If it is the nut the that is in the bottom of the oil pan and that falls out when driving the car. You will loose all your oil and could be your engine too. So you need to get the car into a shop and have this checked. Your car needs that oil to keep it's engine running. Hope this helps and good luck! Linda :o)
