Answer
Zac: Hello. This is what my repair manual has to say about your problem... hey these are just ideas. damaged or worn constant mesh gears, damaged or work synchronzers, bent reverse fork, damaged first speed gear or output gear and worn or damged reverse idler gear or idler bushing. This was under "noisy in particular gear". I would say you need to take the car to a shop; get this checked out and fixed. Or with time it will only get worse. I mean you forcing the car into gear seems to help the problem but it will with time break something or wear the damaged problem into something larger. You did not write how many miles are on the car, so I can only guess with this. But I hope this helps you some, that you should be getting it fixed as these little cars are fun to drive when all is working good. Take care now and good luck! Linda :o)
