Mitsubishi Repair: V-6 ENGINE NOISE AFTER VALVE JOB, montero sport, valve job

I have a 1998 montero sport LS, it has 187,800 miles. It would emit white smoke from the exhaust while sitting at a traffic light or idling in traffic. I had valve job performed, and once the car was put back together, it has a tapping noise from the valve cover area. The valve adjusters were replaced (all 24) but the sound is still there just not as loud...thanks for your help

Boyd: You need to take the car back to the shop that did the valve job for you. Sounds like to me that you have a valve that is not seating it's self. Also you might try having the oil changed and maybe running a bit better fuel in your car. But still I would take the car back to the shop that did that job for you and talk to them.
