Mitsubishi Repair: Montero flooding, throttle position sensor, mitsubishi montero

Question
1990 Montero We have a Mitsubishi Montero that will not start easily because it is getting too much fuel. After it does start, it runs fine ....floods on restart after short drives. Have replaced computer, oxygen sensor ,fuel pump, and pressure regulator. ?

Answer
Cathy: Have your throttle position sensor checked. It might be getting weak and not controling things as it should. By monitoring the output voltage from the throttle position sensor, the computer can determind fuel delivery based on throttle valve angle. So that might be your problem or look for a bad fuel relay. I hope this helps and good luck. Linda
