Mitsubishi Repair: 1997 mitsubishi eclipse, mitsubishi eclipse, alternator

i have a 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse and when i turn on the defroster, my car starts to stall. then my a.c. light starts to blink and my car just keeps trying to stall. does anyone know what the problem could be?

When the defroster comes on, the A/C compressor typically comes on to help eliminate moisture from the windshield.  When the A/C compressor comes on, it puts a strain on the engine.  Sometimes it can stall if your alternator is weak.  If your car is not tuned properly, it can also cause the car to stall.  Have your battery and alternator tested, and have your ignition timing checked as well.
