Greg: You need to have your car coded to rule out any problems with a weak or bad sensor or the computer of the car. You know don't you that Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers to another company that did not do a very good job. There is a piece in those computers that start to leak into the computer and with time it kills off the computer. Now one of the things that shows up when this is happening is things like your car is doing now. So getting the coding would either point to that or rule it out. AutoZone would code your car for free and then you would know. Other wise it could be a bad relay someplace, one that controls the fuel. For a car to die at 70mph, and you did not break the timing belt and you couldn't have if you got the car started later on. And you say this seems to only happen when the car is warmed up. So whatever is going, goes because it gets to hot and then is shut off. Once it cools off, the car starts again. Either by a relay or the computer does it. As the fuel is shut off to the engine, no fuel no run. There is black boxes in with the engine, one on the driver's side of the car, up by the firewall. Two more over in the area of the battery, the tops tell you what is in them and what they control. I would check them to see if any of those fuses look burnt or bad. And replace that. You could have a bad wire, in the way of a short too. But the relay that controls the fuel pump, you might have to get a shop to find that. Every car is different, unless the relay is in one of those boxes. Or it proves to be your computer or a weak sensor someplace. I do hope this helps you some and good luck! Linda
