Mitsubishi Repair: fuel filter, 420a engine, turbo engine

Where is the fuel filter located on 97 Eclipse,2.0,GST,5speed(motor420a)?

Your fuel filter should be located on the firewall of your car.  The GST reference would indicate you have the turbo engine, but you contradict that by saying you have the 420a engine (which is commonly put in the non-turbo engine).  On the non-turbo engine, the filter should be on the drivers side, and on the turbo engine it should be on the passenger side.
